It has to be said that the social and environmental development of local communities has always been part of our Group's DNA. This is all the more important given that in many of our mines, located in remote areas of the Atlas Mountains, we are the leading regional employer. This local anchoring proved essential after the earthquake, and enabled us to demonstrate our solidarity with the affected communities."
