Managem Group celebrated a new milestone in its development in West Africa with the official inauguration of the Boto gold mine, attended by our Chief Executive Officer Mr Imad TOUMI and officials from Senegal and Morocco.

This evening, marked by vision, determination and collective commitment, brought together our teams and partners around a shared ambition: to build lasting and shared success.

We were honoured to welcome:
- HE Birame Souleye Diop, Minister of Energy, Petroleum and Mines
- His Excellency Hassan Naciri, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco to Senegal
- His Excellency Moustapha Mamba Guirassy, Minister of National Education

As well as several representatives from the economic and institutional worlds.

Their presence testifies to the strength of the partnerships between Morocco and Senegal and underlines the strategic importance of the Boto project for the development of the mining sector.

With an investment of €350 million, an average annual production target of 160,000 ounces of gold over the first three years and estimated reserves of 1.8 million ounces (nearly 56 tonnes), the Boto mine marks a decisive step in the development of the gold sector in Senegal. Its lifespan is estimated at 12 years.
